Medication | Treatment For SJS | SJS Awareness

Are you or someone you know allergic to any medication? Here is an opportunity to make a difference!

Your chance to support invaluable public health research into drug side effects:
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), in partnership with Genomics England, have launched an exciting new research project called the Yellow Card Biobank.

In the first part of the project, the Yellow Card Biobank aims to study the role genes play in [allopurinol-induced severe skin reactions including Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis or DRESS (a reaction to drugs involving a rash and key organs in the body) AND/OR severe bleeding as a result of taking a Direct Oral Anticoagulant (DOAC)].

If you are interested in signing up to the project, please report your side effect to the Yellow Card scheme, even if this happened in the past. You may then be contacted by the Yellow Card Biobank team about signing up to the study.
