Emotional & Psychological Support
We empower survivors and carers to navigate the emotional and psychological complexities of an SJS/TEN diagnosis. Our services focus on eradicating isolation through social inclusion platforms, including tele-support networks, local community groups, and active social media forums. We provide the essential tools and community connections needed to foster resilience during recovery.

Educational & Workplace Advocacy
We provide expert guidance to help survivors achieve their professional and academic goals post-diagnosis. This includes tailored advice on implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students and navigating "reasonable adjustments" in the workplace. We ensure survivors have the necessary support to return to work or school in an environment that accommodates their specific needs.

Awareness & Community Outreach
Settlement Support provides comprehensive publicity materials and strategic assistance for volunteers and survivors dedicated to raising awareness. We act as a central information hub, equipping individuals and external support agencies with the resources required to educate the public and improve
the local landscape for those affected by SJS/TEN.
COVID FAQs
1 Q: I’ve experienced SJS/TEN in the past – is it safe to have the COVID vaccine?
A: Based on data from the clinical trials that have been reported so far, there is no evidence that the COVID vaccine leads to SJS/TEN. The MHRA is building up a database of safety information as more people are vaccinated.
2 / Q: Should I have the vaccine?
A: Based on the currently known balance of benefits and risks, it would be important for anyone on the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) prioritisation list to be vaccinated. Click here to see the list - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/priority-groups-for-coronavirus-covid-19-vaccination-advice-from-the-jcvi-30-december-2020
3 / Q: Which of the vaccines would be best for me?
A: Unfortunately we are unable to advise on a particular vaccine that would be most suited to you. The best available information is that all of the vaccines provide protection against serious COVID disease, and at this point in time there is no evidence to suggest that any of the vaccines pose a threat of new or repeat episodes of SJS/TEN.
4 / Q: Where can I find more information?
A: It is vital that information on healthcare and vaccination is obtained from reliable, reputable sources. Click here to read vaccination information that relates to the United Kingdom - https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/
Apologies that our advice is limited at the moment. The MHRA will continue to build on the existing knowledge and will hopefully be able to provide more tailored advice following the full vaccination programme.
